"Being commissioned to paint two custom artworks for the Townsville Airport renovation and have my artwork covering 150sq m of wall inside the terminal where more than a million people will walk past each year is pretty epic," she says. "As well as being a huge achievement, I see it as a great reward for all my contribution and participation here over the past decade in the arts community.”

✈️ARTWORK TO LIGHT UP TOWNSVILLE AIRPORT ✈️

Townsville Airport's makeover is all but complete, but it's still waiting on the finishing touch from local artist, Brenda Stone.

Her artwork will cover the 150 square metres of the wall behind her, welcoming 1.6 million visitors who pass through Townsville Airport every year.

‘North Queensland Artist Brenda Stone is creating a large mural for the new-look Townsville Airport terminal.

Fibrefinish had the privilege of collaborating with local artist Brenda Stone for a unique and sizeable project that was in Flinders Lane, Townsville’s CBD.
