A fresh concept inspired by the clear waters of the ocean. Using a clear acrylic sheet for a canvas, I have painted a ‘floating‘ wave and suspended it within a deep framed box. The waves are coloured medium blue, with shimmering purple/blue tones. It takes you right to the waters edge, with the transparency of the canvas and the wet wave splashing right through the middle of the piece. You can see the shadows of the resin wave projected on the white backing, giving depth and intensifying the rich tones of the Sea. Suitable for a well lit interior, where the light can bring the wave to life! The shadow box width allows this artwork to stand by itself if you have no space on the wall. Freestanding.
